Art & Science Teaching and Studio Assistant

About the role

Get paid to have fun hanging out with kids, 18 months to 12 years of age, as you teach them how to create art! You will help teachers with art and science classes, prepare materials, supervise kids, and clean-up. We have permanent and seasonal positions available in Woodbury, Saint Paul, Forest Lake, Mounds View, White Bear Lake, Stillwater, Eagan, and Apple Valley.

Schedule

• Primarily Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2-6 PM, plus a few weekend afternoons per month.
• During the school year: two or more afternoons (2-6 PM) per week.
• More hours available on no-school days and summer months.
• Additional shifts available for those interested: mornings, early evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with art and science classes both in the studio and throughout the East Metro area.
• Help with studio operations: clean-up, collect supplies, and prepare materials for classes.
• Supervise and interact with students during classes, camps, and parties.

Requirements

• Be 16 years of age or older.
• Have a reliable car and a driver’s license (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Enjoy working with kids and embrace creativity and messiness.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and creative.

Pay

$13.00 - $16.00 per hour.
