Art Long Term Substitute Teacher
About the role
This vacancy is for a Long Term Substitute Art Teacher at Southern Middle School beginning October 1, 2026 through the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. The Southern York County School District is a high-performing district serving approximately 2,900 students K-12 located in south-central Pennsylvania. The suburban district is located just off Interstate 83 between Harrisburg and Baltimore. Southern has been recognized for its many award-winning programs in academics, the arts, sports, and other extracurricular activities. Requirements
- PA Certification in Art PK-12
- Current PA clearances (PA Child Abuse History, PA Criminal Record Check, and Federal Criminal History Record) will be requested for those being interviewed
- Subject to the requirements set forth under Act 168 of 2014
Pay
The starting salary is $66,000, prorated for the days to be worked (anticipated to be around 156 days based on a full year being 191 days). Salary is dependent upon experience.
Schedule
The position covers approximately 156 work days from October 1, 2026 through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
