About the role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Art Director to lead creative direction across brand, digital, and print initiatives. The Art Director will develop visual concepts, manage a team of designers and freelancers, and ensure cohesive, high-quality executions from concept through production. This role balances creative leadership, client collaboration, and practical production oversight to deliver compelling visual experiences across channels.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creative development and execution of retail storytelling, environmental graphics, digital experiences, and branded retail environments.
- Create innovative retail concepts that enhance consumer engagement and support evolving retail strategy.
- Manage projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, timelines, and budget requirements are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to deliver immersive retail experiences.
- Develop creative direction, design standards, implementation guidelines, and scalable solutions for retail programs.
- Mentor and provide direction to junior designers, supporting team growth and creative excellence.
- Present creative concepts and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Produce presentation materials, design documentation, and production-ready files.
- Integrate emerging technologies and innovative design approaches into consumer experiences and retail environments.
- Balance consumer needs, brand objectives, and business priorities throughout the design process.
- Drive design excellence across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in brand design, retail design, environmental graphics, visual communications, or a related creative field.
- 3+ years of team leadership or people management experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing retail environments, brand storytelling, and immersive consumer experiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Keynote.
- Strong concept development, sketching, visual storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Experience leading multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Retail industry experience with retail environments, store concepts, visual merchandising, or retail programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro, Miro, Figma, SketchUp, and/or Unreal Engine.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in experiential, interactive, and retail design.
- International retail design experience is a plus.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
