About the role

We are currently looking for an Art Director to join Creative Services, PUMA’s Internal Creative Agency, based in Boston. This role offers a competitive base pay of $43 per hour plus product discount, and is open to all genders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Associate Creative Director, Planners, Content Creators, and Business Units to conceive high- and low-production campaigns across various marketing channels.
  • Create and execute creative ideas for PR, Social, Paid Media, Ecomm, In-Store, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and provide input on marketing campaigns and communications initiatives.
  • Manage external partnerships with photographers, illustrators, animators, production companies, and independent content creators.
  • Oversee the development of creative guidelines and guide the post-production asset selection and retouching process.
  • Support junior members of the Creative Services team by providing feedback and mentoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or relevant field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Digital skills including proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge, and Acrobat on Mac.
  • Proven ability to create proof of concepts for still photography and moving imagery.
  • Exceptional design skills, knowledge of interactive and digital design, and video storytelling.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to work with senior management.
  • Experience directing and overseeing photo shoots under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership capabilities and ability to motivate and mentor others.
  • Experience in the footwear, athletic, or apparel industry is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Culturally connected and passionate about arts, culture, streetwear, and fashion.
  • Innovative, collaborative, and ambitious with a genuine interest in designing cool stuff for the brand.
  • Exceptional ability to see projects through from concept to implementation.
  • Thorough understanding of creative process, color theory, typography, and interactive, digital design.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and lead cross-departmental teams.

Skills

  • Strong visual storytelling and art direction skills.
  • Proficiency in digital design tools.
  • Experience in managing external creative partners.
  • Ability to develop and implement creative guidelines.
  • Knowledge of post-production processes.

Pay

The base pay for this position is $43 per hour + Product Discount.
