About the role

We are seeking an Art Director and an Art Instructor to develop, oversee, and implement our art program. These roles focus on creating a safe, creative environment where children (ages 8–12) can express themselves through fine art, learn practical skills, and process their thoughts and feelings. Both positions work collaboratively to integrate art therapy into program rotations and ensure a positive, engaging experience for participants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a complete Arts Program, including theme-based, meaningful projects (Art Director)
• Create a free and safe space for children to create and succeed
• Teach participants new art techniques and foster an appreciation of art
• Organize and maintain the creative arts facility and equipment, including safety checks
• Train and supervise instructors (Art Director)
• Maintain art equipment and inspect premises and equipment regularly
• Provide free-time art activities for interested participants
• Prepare the art building and supplies for weekly programming
• Complete a post-summer written report detailing inventory, purchase recommendations, and replacement needs (Art Director)
