About the role
Maintains a safe mammography environment daily.
- Provides imaging services and transportation to patients of all ages.
- Explains and communicates thoroughly with patients and families.
- Follows safety standards and protocols.
- Ensures patient satisfaction and utilizes AIDET principles.
- Collaborates with other departments and modalities.
- Uses I Care principles for proper patient identification and communication.
- Practices good stewardship with supplies and resources.
- Understands clinical history, supply, and exam charges.
- Fulfills billing practices and correlates clinical history with exams.
- Follows radiation safety practices and dose reduction guidelines.
- Maintains personal qualifications according to ACR/FDA/MQSA requirements.
- Participates in Mammography Quality Control (QC) and documents appropriately.
- Controls and maintains inventory and supplies.
- Instructs and supervises student technologists and new employees.
Qualifications
- Enhanced knowledge in Mammography.
- Specific expertise and skills in mammography patient care.
- Basic anatomy, physiology, and procedural room care relevant to mammography.
- Graduate of a JRCERT approved school of radiologic technology.
- Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Mammography registry eligibility or registration preferred.
- Formal education by an ARRT approved mammography program, including digital imaging.

- Compensation for call during off-duty hours.
- Per diem staff must work one holiday and one shift during a 90-day period.
