Armed Security Officer- U.S. Federal Government Contract-Government Public Trust Required
About the role
Control room operations, entrance monitoring and visitor clearance, interior and exterior patrols (on foot and in vehicle), monitor CCTV, aid visitors, protect the loading docks, search packages, purses and briefcases, screen visitors and employees using magnetometers and x-ray, screen vehicles using under-vehicle mirrors and visual, maintain entry and exit logs, respond to incidents, perform evacuations of the building when necessary, secure building and spaces at appropriate times, traffic control when needed, key control, monitor fire and safety systems, deter, detect and if necessary, detain those trying to enter government property without authorization, or otherwise violating laws, rules or regulations, perform functions as necessary as directed during civil disturbances, act as primary responder until law enforcement arrives.
Responsibilities
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to carry a firearm (if required by contract).
- Must speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Strong written communication skills for report writing.
- Able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Requirements
- Government Requirements:
- Must successfully pass all required background investigations.
- Must be eligible for the required Government Public Trust/Moderate Risk suitability determination (or other clearance required by the contract).
- Must pass drug screening and any additional government requirements.
- Maintain eligibility throughout employment.
