Armed Security Officer- Rover

About the role

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Armed Security Officer. The role requires strong observational skills, physical ability to patrol environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, and the ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license
• First aid certification (asset)
• CPR certification
• Minimum 2 years experience as an Armed Officer
• State issued armed security license and meet any additional requirements to carry a firearm as a security officer in your state
• CA security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (additional trainings can be obtained during hiring)
• CA Exposed Firearm Permit
• CCW
• Current or past law enforcement experience

Pay

Competitive hourly wage of $45/hour (DailyPay available for GardaWorld employees)

Schedule

Site location: Torrance, CA. Schedule: 16‑40 hours per week. Shifts: Monday‑Thursday 12:00 pm‑8:30 pm; Friday‑Saturday 1:00 pm‑9:30 pm; Sunday 11:00 am‑7:30 pm.
