Armed Security Officer - Plaza Patrol

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual activity and/or potential property concerns.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or maintenance-related issues, and help to deter unwanted activity through visible presence and timely communication.
• Support daily operations by completing routine reports, following post instructions, and assisting with security-related inquiries from occupants and/or guests.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
