Armed Security Officer - Patrol Readiness

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer - Patrol Readiness in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store management and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain awareness of assigned equipment, post orders, and applicable armed post requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• Day shifts: 07:00 AM - 03:15 PM (Monday through Thursday)
