Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local law enforcement when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or restricted areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Assist with access control, crowd management, and after-hours checks of doors, gates, and delivery areas in support of daily retail operations.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
