Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, courtyards, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying authorization, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Support site operations by following post orders, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and handling security-related concerns in a professional manner while complying with Allied Universal standards and use of force guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
