Armed Security Officer– Military / Law Enforcement Preferred
About the role
Excelsior Defense is hiring Armed Security Officers for a new contract at one of Florida's most well-known outdoor recreation destinations. The position requires officers who demonstrate strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to operate in a high-activity outdoor environment.
Pay
$20.00 per hour
Available Shifts
- 06:00 – 14:00 (Day Shift)
- 14:00 – 22:00 (Evening Shift)
- 22:00 – 06:00 (Overnight Shift)
Minimum Requirements – Please Read Before Applying
- Active Florida Class D Security License
- Active Florida Class G Armed Security License
- Prior Law Enforcement, Military, or Armed Security experience preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in an active recreation environment
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work any of the listed shifts if needed
Applicants who do not meet the licensing requirements will not be considered.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the property
- Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas
- Monitor guest activity and enforce property rules and safety policies
- Respond to disturbances, suspicious activity, or safety concerns
- Aid guests and staff while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Complete incident and activity reports through company reporting systems
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and site management
