Security Officer Job Responsibilities
- Patrolling one or a number of premises
- Making observations and monitoring activity both inside and outside a premises through closed circuit television
- Signed in visitors to a building
- Checking suspicious packages
- Performing checks on building traffic (people entering and exiting)
- Recording any suspicious activity and taking necessary action
- Guarding valuables or cash (typically in a secure vehicle)
- Communicating relevant information to other security officers via communication devices
- Giving directions and other information to visitors
- Writing reports for the police or courts
- Creating and distributing building access cards
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent (degree must be conferred on or before the agreed upon start date)
- A valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- A current Oklahoma CLEET License in: Phase 1 (Basic), Phase 2 (Officer)
