About the role

This is a flexible, dependable part-time enhanced position designed for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As an Armed Security Officer in Aurora, CO, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the option to pick up additional shifts for increased earnings and experience.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back as needed.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and security-related issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
