Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including retail floors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for security-related concerns, assist with access control, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or hazards to site leadership.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports, and communicate clearly with management, clients, and public-facing personnel regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
