Armed Security Officer

About the role

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol client sites to ensure safety and security.
• Enforce regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Provide customer service and information to clients’ employees and customers.
• Serve as a physical deterrent.
• Respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, or ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• Above average computer / technology skills.
• Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and vigilance throughout shift.
• Valid MN CCW.
• CPR / FA, IPAT, and NLDW certifications.
• 2 years of Military, Law Enforcement, or Security experience required.

Qualifications

Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation. All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

$24.60 per hour.
