Job Description/Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Guard posts at entry / exit points of the local military base
• Conduct foot & vehicle patrols of the grounds
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas
• Check for employee, vendor, and visitor identifications
• Look for suspicious persons, packages and activities
• Document daily activities and report all incidents
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age or older
• Current, valid State of Michigan Concealed Pistol License
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• No felony convictions
• Criminal background check required
• Pass drug test at time of hire and annually thereafter
• Must be a citizen of the United States of America
• Impeccable grooming
• Positive, professional image
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to solve problems and de-escalate situations in a non-confrontational manner
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license, clean driving record
• Willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
• Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or armed security preferred
• Physical requirements: physically and mentally sound, able to sit, stand, or walk for duration of shift, respond to emergencies, work in/outdoors, hear conversations in noisy environments, lift up to 70 pounds, pass Physical Agility Test
