Armed Security Officer

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a Part-Time Armed Mobile Patrol Officer to support critical infrastructure operations throughout the Grand Valley area. This role involves conducting scheduled mobile patrols, securing multiple client properties, and maintaining a safe environment through proactive observation and professional response.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled patrols of multiple assigned properties throughout the Grand Valley area.
• Lock and unlock client buildings according to established schedules and site procedures.
• Perform interior and exterior security inspections during each patrol.
• Verify that doors, gates, windows, and other access points are properly secured.
• Maintain a visible security presence to discourage unauthorized activity.
• Observe assigned properties for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or signs of unauthorized access.
• Investigate unusual conditions and report findings through the appropriate chain of command.
• Respond to alarms or security concerns in accordance with company procedures.
• Protect client property by identifying and reporting maintenance or security issues promptly.
• Complete accurate patrol logs, daily activity reports, and incident documentation.
• Record building access activities, security concerns, and operational observations.
• Maintain communication with supervisors regarding incidents or unusual activity.
• Follow all post orders, operational procedures, and client-specific instructions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Professional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable attendance and excellent time management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous armed security, patrol, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred.
• Experience performing mobile patrols across multiple properties is preferred.
• Knowledge of report writing and incident documentation is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic reporting systems is a plus.
• Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities are valued.

Physical Requirements

• Drive between multiple client locations throughout the shift.
• Walk and stand for extended periods while conducting patrols.
• Perform routine inspections of buildings and surrounding property.
• Bend, reach, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
• Maintain visual awareness and respond quickly to changing conditions.

Work Environment

• Mobile assignment covering multiple critical infrastructure locations.
• Combination of indoor and outdoor duties in varying weather conditions.
• Independent work with frequent travel between assigned sites.
• Regular interaction with client representatives, contractors, and fellow security personnel.
• Weekend daytime schedule supporting essential operations.
