About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Response in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to store team members, customers, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public agencies when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
- Monitor access points, receiving areas, and restricted spaces; verify authorized access and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
- Complete accurate reports and maintain awareness of retail loss prevention concerns, using de-escalation techniques and following applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.
Requirements
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Pay
$22.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Monday: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
- Thursday: 02:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Friday: 02:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Sunday: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
