Armed Security Officer

About the Role

As an Armed Security Officer in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail store areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to site leadership and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
• Document incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities accurately and completely in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.

Pay

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Schedule

Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
