Job Summary
Physical Security Officers (PSO’s) can expect to be working in demanding and fast-paced environments. PSO’s may find themselves working in a wide range of areas such as medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues, and public events. Additionally, PSOs may be asked to work with a firearm. The PSOs' mission is to protect all people, information, and property assigned, while delivering on high-end customer service.
Job Duties / Essential Functions
- Delivering high-end customer service
- Responding to emergencies
- Deterring and preventing crime
- Performing ingress/egress control procedures
- Investigating incidents
- Completing daily logs and incident reports
- Conducting regular walking or vehicle patrols
- Building and maintaining a professional rapport with clients, guests, and co-workers
- De-escalating conflicts
- Monitoring CCTV cameras
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Skills / Qualifications
- ACT 235 (current)
- 21 years of age
- Current and valid DL
- High school diploma or GED
- (1) year experience in armed security recommended
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Ability to work under stress / pressure
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to wear a uniform
- Ability to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT)
- Ability to use force, up to and including deadly force, when reasonably justified
