Armed Security Guard

About the role

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Officer in Queens, NY. Law enforcement or military experience is preferred. The role requires reading the environment, anticipating risk, and acting accordingly, with a keen sense of observation as a key strength. Physical ability is essential as you will patrol environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc. A New York Security Armed Guard License and TWIC are required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• New York Security Armed Guard License required
• TWIC required

Pay

Competitive hourly wage of $32.00 / Hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

Schedule

• 1st Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00AM - 3:00PM
• 2nd Schedule: Saturday to Monday, 3:00PM - 11:00PM and Thursday, 7:00AM - 3:00PM
