About the role
This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As an Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Officer in Fort Worth, TX, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain required reports, logs, and incident documentation while handling assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site requirements, and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$27.32 / hour
Schedule
- Daytime shift: Wednesday, 11:30 AM – 6:00 PM (fixed anchor shift)
- Additional shifts available through the Claim-A-Shift program
