About the role

As a Armed Law Enforcement Officer- Driver Patrol in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional at a government airport location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Able to exercise sound judgement and render immediate, appropriate decisions, under stressful conditions.
  • Maturity in conduct behavior and attitude.
  • Able to take orders, follow instructions, accept and assume responsibility for one’s actions.
  • Alertness, attentiveness, and professional conduct.
  • Able to recognize, respond and take appropriate and corrective actions to various situations.
  • Strong moral character. Must possess high standards and be truthful.
  • Able to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing in English.
  • Courtesy in inter-person relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
  • LEOs may be required to provide a court appearance for citations that are issued on behalf of DOTA. Contractor shall provide replacement staffing for LEOs that are required to attend a court proceeding.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a Peace Officer Certificate.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C.922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931 F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.

Skills

  • Ability to supervise Contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.

Pay

$28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Qualifications

  • Each LEO will possess the following minimum qualifications:
  • To be considered, all applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Law Enforcement Officer License
  • 22+ years of age
  • Basic Qualifications: The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired.
  • Formal Education, Licenses, And Certifications Required
  • Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs:
  • 1. Certified State law enforcement recruit training.
  • 2. Certified County law enforcement recruit training.
  • 3. Federal law enforcement training.
  • 4. Programs approved by the Director.
  • 5. Each LEO will possess the following minimum qualifications:
