Armed Driver Guard- Milwaukee

About the role

Loomis armored transportation operates a network of nearly 200 branches, cash management centers, and cash inventory vaults across the United States. The company emphasizes career advancement and job satisfaction, with many managers and executives having started as driver/guards or tellers. As an Armed Driver Guard you will work with a team to ensure the safe and secure pickup and delivery of cash, coin, and valuables.

Responsibilities

• Drive automatic armored vehicles and other vehicles on designated routes servicing customer locations.
• Service ATMs and Smart Safes.
• Service customer stops, including delivering customer change orders and picking up deposits.
• Load/unload vehicle cargo, including multiple bags and boxes of coins.
• Count items, record, and sign for cargo items.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• At least a 3‑year driving record.
• Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate via a U.S. Department of Transportation‑approved provider.
• Valid firearms permit or ability to meet applicable state firearms requirements; Loomis will pay for security and firearms qualifications, licensing, and permitting.

Working Conditions

Full‑time schedule, typically 40–50 hours per week with a minimum of 5 days during a 6‑day period. Occasional weekend work may be required. Approximately 90‑95 % of work is performed in an air‑conditioned vehicle within individual compartments (front and rear).

Essential Duties / Job Qualifications

• Lift: 25 lb vertical lift from 10 in to 66 in (1 ×).
• Lift‑Carry: 18 lb vertical lift from 1 in to 44 in and horizontally transfer 15 ft (4 ×); 18 lb vertical lift from 10 in to 36 in and horizontally transfer 300 ft (1 ×); 50 lb vertical lift from 10 in to 36 in and horizontally transfer 2 ft (2 ×).
• Push‑Pull: Horizontally transfer 47 lb of force on a sled (single, non‑dominant arm) a distance of 1 ft (2 ×).
• Repetitive Coupling: Squeeze Jamar Hand Dynamometer requiring forces up to 30 lb with both right and left hands (4 ×).
• Climb: Ascend/descend steps with heights of 16 in, 21 in, and 24 in (10 ×).

Pay

Hourly hiring rate: $22 USD.
