About the Role
A Distribution Coordinator at MKS Inc. partners with internal and external customers to provide world-class distribution center support, reporting to the Materials Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
- Unpack and verify goods received against purchase orders or invoices; maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items.
- Lift heavy items and operate a forklift as needed.
- Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped, including posting weights and shipping charges.
- Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- Prepare kitting packages for assembly production and customers.
Requirements
- Experience in shipping, receiving, and stores.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.
- Completion of high school, vocational training, or equivalent is preferred.
- 1+ years of related experience.
- Ability to work shifts as directed.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Frequently positions self to perform tasks and handle objects below, at, and above shoulder level.
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas clearly.
- Operates in a warehousing environment with average noise levels.
- Constantly operates a computer and other productivity machinery.
- Ability to observe documents and details at close range.
- Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.
