Support and Guidance

Support and guide production employees to ensure safe work practices and compliance with company policies, GMPs, and food safety standards.

Absorb and execute daily production plans by verifying schedules, materials, staffing, and aligning operations to required production rates (e.g., CPM, bags per minute).

Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) including production rates, yield, downtime, and quality; support corrective actions as needed.

Equipment Operation and Support

Operate and support production equipment (ORICS, Jurans, box machines, checkweighers, and labeling systems) to maintain efficient and consistent line performance.

Set up and verify coding and labeling systems (Videojet, PTI, LPN) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and product traceability.

Perform pre- and post-operational inspections and routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process product, and finished goods to ensure specifications and GMP standards are met.

Calibrate and monitor checkweigher systems and related metrics to ensure weight accuracy and minimize product loss.

Sanitation and Compliance

Maintain sanitation, GMP, and SSOP standards to support a clean and compliant production environment.

Maintain monitoring and support production flow through HMI systems, helping identify bottlenecks and maintain steady throughput.

Operational Coordination

Respond to equipment issues and process disruptions by making minor adjustments or escalating concerns as appropriate.

Cover line coverage by coordinating breaks and lunches to maintain continuous operations.

Traceability and Reporting

Ensure accurate traceability through proper labeling, lot tracking, and documentation; identify and report non-conforming product or foreign material.

Communication and Teamwork

Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments to support efficient operations.

Provide on-the-job guidance and support to team members on equipment operation, safety, and quality expectations.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of production processes and KPIs
  • Understanding of GMPs, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to operate and support troubleshooting of production equipment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stay organized and respond to changing production needs

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in food manufacturing or production environment preferred
