About the role
Events at the University of Worcester are key components of the University’s strategy for growth and underpin the development aspirations of the university. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the delivery of the Arena’s event management function. The post holder(s) will be required on site for the duration of their event shift. Events you’ll be working at include netball, basketball, karate, taekwondo, cheerleading, dance, conferencing, concerts and awards events.
Responsibilities
- Set-up
- Bag checks
- Car parking
- Turnstile and VIP entry
- Crowd safety
- Merchandising and sales
- Cloakroom attendants
- Court attendants
- Broadcast runners
- Team liaisons
- VIP hosting
Requirements
- Confident individuals
- Real interest in providing excellent customer service
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Flexibility to undertake shifts during evenings and weekends (University semester time)
- Availability to support events over the summer period
Skills
- Customer service excellence

- Ability to work under pressure
Schedule
Shifts vary between 4 and 8 hours, taking place in the evenings and weekends during University semester time, with additional summer event availability.
