Area Supervisor, Service Distribution (Afternoon Shift)
About the role
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a supervisor in one of our Distribution Centers. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a specific department, lead and manage a team of associates, and ensure adherence to safety protocols while meeting performance targets and maintaining high customer satisfaction. You will be an integral part of our leadership team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and coach a team of associates to achieve daily performance and quality targets
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Ensure efficient and accurate order processing, packing, shipping, receiving, and stocking
- Monitor and optimize workflows to improve productivity and reduce quality errors
- Investigate and address quality issues and downstream customer escalations
- Utilize KPIs and data to evaluate team and individual performance, taking corrective actions as necessary to meet or exceed performance goals
- Collaborate with other leaders to ensure seamless operations and communicate effectively with associates, addressing their concerns and providing feedback
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive initiatives for increased efficiency, quality, and cost reduction
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment
- Proven leadership experience in a warehouse or similar setting
- Robust experience in creating metrics for performance management
- Able to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various teams, including service and supply chain personnel in a lean environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills, and SAP experience (a plus)
- Excellent organizational skills to manage and track transaction details

Pay
Expected compensation for this role is $79,800 - $119,700 annual salary, plus cash and stock awards and benefits. Pay may vary depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include other elements dependent on the position offered.
