Area Supervisor (Forest City, NC)

About the role

The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and secure environment, customer service, general merchandising, loss prevention, front end supervision and operations, and fitting rooms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
• Treat all customers, associates, and other leaders with respect
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed
• Manage the front-end of the store, including cash registers, shortage control policies, and other procedures
• Train and coach associates on various procedures
• Maintain the fitting rooms and ensure compliance with Company policy
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

Qualifications and Special Skills

• Physical requirements: ability to use all Store equipment, stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop, push, pull, lift up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift more than 25 lbs
• Supervisory responsibilities: Retail Associates, Stockroom Leads (where applicable)
