Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and managing the general operations and supervision of the store. This position is vital for maintaining a safe, secure, and customer-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment by immediately correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions or practices to Store Leadership.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Manage the store's front-end operations, including cash registers, shortage control policies, and other Front End procedures.
• Train and coach Associates on various Front End and administrative duties.
• Supervise Stockroom leads and ensure all merchandise is processed and organized according to Company policy.
• Manage the fitting rooms, ensuring their cleanliness and compliance with Company policies.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager, such as cash pulls, bank deposits, and payroll administration.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
