Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and managing general operations and supervision during the Manager on Duty shift. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and secure environment, providing excellent customer service, managing merchandise, and ensuring efficient front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
• Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and store cleanliness
• Manage loss prevention efforts and adhere to the Loss Prevention Awareness Program
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes
• Train and coach associates on various procedures
• Control associate break schedules and manage inventory
• Ensure proper equipment operation and supplies
• Manage fitting rooms and merchandise returns
• Perform administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for extended periods
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
• Ability to lift and push/pull up to 25 lbs frequently
• Ability to use janitorial equipment and other assigned supplies
