Area Supervisor
About the role
The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role in the store leadership team, overseeing a specific area and general operations. They are responsible for creating a safe and secure shopping environment, maintaining customer service standards, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation and loss prevention.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
- Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect
- Ensure proper merchandise presentation and loss prevention
- Manage the front-end operations and train associates on cash registers and other procedures
- Supervise fitting rooms and ensure their cleanliness and maintenance
- Perform administrative duties as assigned by the store manager
Qualifications and Special Skills Required
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
- Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements
Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop. Ability to push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs. Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
