Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and managing the general operations and supervision of the store when acting as the Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment, customer service, general merchandising, loss prevention, front end supervision, and fitting room maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment by understanding and practicing safe behaviors, immediately correcting or reporting unsafe conditions, and performing regular security checks.
• Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect, demonstrating courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism.
• Manage the front-end operations, train and coach associates on cash registers, shortage control policies, and other front-end procedures.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation, maintain a clean work area, and process all merchandise with a sense of urgency.
• Execute Company operational processes as needed, including loss prevention and adherence to presentation guidelines.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager, such as conducting cash pulls, bank deposits, and managing associate schedules.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
