About The Role

The Area Sales Manager works directly with Showrooms and Design Consultants to seamlessly deliver on customer expectations while driving results and supporting company initiatives. This role is responsible for managing Design Consultant performance and ensuring Showrooms comply with The Shade Store standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on Showroom and Design Consultant sales performance by utilizing KPI reporting to create action plans for sales improvement.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Showroom teams to drive promotional activities and follow up on high-value quotes.
  • Eliminate obstacles to sales by providing day-to-day support to Design Consultants.
  • Motivate the team through recognition to achieve sales results.
  • Adjust sales focus based on market trends and collaborate with Measure and Install teams to meet customer demand.
  • Play an active role in planning and onboarding Design Consultants, including regular check-ins and feedback solicitation.
  • Monitor Design Consultant dashboards to maintain a healthy pipeline of active projects.
  • Use reporting to analyze sales metrics and address performance opportunities with HR.
  • Handle escalated or critical performance issues strategically and efficiently.
  • Support company initiatives and pilot programs by establishing relationships with corporate partners and leading market-specific launches.
  • Provide consistent feedback on issues, launches, and pilot programs.
  • Identify and share trends that could positively impact the market.
  • Establish communication channels for the team to share ideas and concerns.
  • Ensure showroom standards are maintained and support trade events.
  • Mentor the sales team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience in administrative and coordination work.
  • Minimum of two years of high-volume, fast-paced, and complex analysis and coordination experience.
  • Proficient in managing Outlook and Microsoft Applications.
