About the role

The Area Room Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of hotel rooms and ensuring guest satisfaction. This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee room cleaning and maintenance processes
• Manage staff schedules and ensure coverage of all shifts
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to resolve issues promptly
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest experience
• Monitor room inventory levels and order supplies as needed
• Handle guest complaints and inquiries effectively
• Conduct regular training sessions for the housekeeping team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel operations management
• Proven ability to manage staff and handle conflict resolution
• Strong knowledge of hotel policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with property management systems (PMS)
