Area Manager-II, SSC4-SSD
Our Worldwide Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to lead a team of hourly employees, ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance while maintaining customer delivery promises.
Our Operations workflow includes three major components: First mile (product storage and order readiness), Middle mile (order transportation to your area), and Last mile (product delivery to the customer’s door). Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) specializes in innovating the last mile customer experience—combining operations and support teams to build the future of delivery.
Responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate your team
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery commitments
- Collaborate with support teams (Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, Human Resources) to meet business objectives
- Lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for shifts up to 12 hours, and perform physical tasks (pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing stairs)
- Work in variable environments (noise levels, temperatures, weather; includes outdoor loading, refrigerated, and grocery areas)
Requirements
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (weekends, nights, holidays, and/or overnight shifts)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
Pay
Base salary range: $70,000 – $90,900 USD annually (Summerville, SC). Final compensation includes sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
