About the role
Join our WW Operations network as an Area Manager. Your role involves leading a team of hourly workers, ensuring high levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance, while maintaining customer expectations for timely and accurate deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
- Collaborate with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
- Work in environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and weather conditions
- Continuously climb and descend stairs
Requirements
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Qualifications
- Basic qualifications: 2+ years of employee and performance management experience, Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience, work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Preferred qualifications: 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience, experience managing a team of 20+ employees, experience with process improvements (Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma), excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field, industry experience in: retail, F&B, military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production or distribution environments
Skills
Must have excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
