Area Manager II

About the role

Join our WW Operations network as an Area Manager. Lead a team of hourly workers to maintain high levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. Engage your team during shifts to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and to the right location.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans
• Engage hourly workforce during shifts
• Maintain customer expectations for timely and correct deliveries
• Manage fulfillment network operations across first, middle, and last mile

Requirements

• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Work in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures
• Continuous climbing and descending stairs (applies to sites with stairs)

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and holidays

Skills

• Customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with process improvements (Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma)
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees
• Experience in retail, F&B, military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production or distribution environments
