Area Manager II

About the role

Join our WW Operations network as an Area Manager. Lead a team of hourly workers to maintain high levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance while ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and to the right location.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans
• Engage your team during shifts
• Work in an environment with varying noise levels and temperatures
• Continuously climb and descend stairs

Requirements

• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently perform physical tasks
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and holidays

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience, experience managing a team of 20+ employees, and experience with process improvements (Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma)
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field
• Industry experience in retail, F&B, military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production or distribution environments
