Area Manager (Brewery & Manufacturing Operations) - University Full-Time

About the role

If you are interested in a hands-on, continuous improvement-oriented, fast-paced role in a world-class manufacturing environment then our Brewery Area Manager within one of our Brewery Operations or our Shift Supervisor role within one of our Manufacturing Operations is the role for you. This is a chance to be on the production floor, troubleshooting, and problem solving on the fly to ensure we meet our production goals. This is a chance to develop as a leader, change agent, and Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead front-line operational teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Lead with humility and drive top performance in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.
• Identify ways to drive performance through teamwork, empowerment, and leadership in a union environment.
• Ensure the safety of yourself and others on the production floor is compliant with all AB policies.
• Uphold quality standards for all products.
• Problem-solve both personnel and process-related issues.
• Detect systematic issues through visual or oral methods from machines or equipment and discuss operations with maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Utilize data analysis and other lean manufacturing methods used for process improvement to enhance product/process efficiency.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, discipline, and development to employees.
• Have tough conversations with a diverse group of people.
• Lead work area and speak to performance with senior leadership.

Requirements

• Current university student or recent university graduate – Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA of 2.8 or greater.
• A background in Engineering or Science is preferred.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, & overtime.
• Ability to walk up and down elevated catwalks and stairs, stand for long periods of time, and work in all environmental conditions including extreme temperatures.
• Ability to leverage data and insights to provide effective solutions to complex problems.
• Demonstrate leadership capabilities in previous work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
• Self-motivated to drive results and deliver above and beyond expectations.
• Ability to collaborate, be an active listener, seek diverse opinions and input from others, and foster an inclusive environment.
• Embrace ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to effectively manage several projects and teams at once, while being agile in the face of setbacks and change.

Pay

$85,500 + bonus eligible + sign-on bonus

Schedule

Assigned shift (days, afternoons, midnights & weekends)
