This is a full-time, entry-level position located within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operations buildings. Eligible candidates must have work authorization without employer intervention. Relocation benefits are offered at time of offer to eligible candidates.

About the role

Amazon is seeking customer-focused individuals to lead a team of hourly employees across our Operations network. As an Area Manager, you will engage, lead, and develop your team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will support, mentor, and motivate 50–100 direct-report Amazon Associates while overseeing daily operations, including truck deliveries, package handling, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

  • Support, mentor, and motivate 50–100 direct-report Amazon Associates
  • Work independently in an autonomous environment
  • Stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
  • Work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs (most sites follow a fixed 4-day work week with 3 days off)
  • Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, and operate powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment at applicable facilities
  • Step in as needed to maintain safety, quality, attendance, and performance standards
  • Work in an environment where noise levels vary
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Climb and descend stairs (when applicable)

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (all degree requirements must be met before your first day)
  • Willingness to work in a warehouse environment with physical demands including standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Currently enrolled in or graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or another related field

Pay

Base salary range: $65,200 – $75,000 USD annually (varies by location). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
