Area Leader Warehouse - 3rd Shift

About the role

Assists with the supervision of a shift of warehouse operations and activities including receiving, storage, and distribution of all items for a multi-shift operation, received either from internal departments or external resources/suppliers. Ensures that parts and supplies are distributed to proper departments in a safe and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

Requirements

• High school graduate plus 1‑year experience in a leadership position in Warehouse operations in production operations in a non‑exempt, non‑union workforce.
• Ability to obtain a forklift certification and must have a clean driving record.
• Prior experience with reach truck/stand up forklift is required.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing techniques is a plus.

Skills

• Computer knowledge: SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Language: able to speak, read, and write in basic English; Spanish is a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to bend, squat, and maneuver to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds with a hoist, pallet‑jack or cart. Some facilities are multi‑level and may require ascending or descending stairs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Multi‑shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.

Pay

Starting Pay: $32.80/hr., a shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities.
