About the role

This role is full-time temporary, Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM EST. It is located at multiple locations including Johns Creek, GA 30097. The position involves processing medical record requests, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to company and facility policies.

Responsibilities

  • Process patient health information requests in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all privileged information.
  • Manage patient health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Create digital images of paperwork for storage in the electronic medical record.
  • Respond to requests for patient records, both within the facility and by external sources.
  • Handle patient walk-ins and assist with administrative duties such as handling faxes, opening mail, and data entry.
  • Schedule pick-ups and assist with training associates in the HIS I position.
  • Generate reports for managers or facilities as directed.
  • Participate in project teams and committees to advance operational strategies and initiatives.
  • Exceed level 1 productivity expectations as outlined at specific sites.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Able to travel locally up to 75% of the time.
  • Ability to work overtime during peak seasons when required.
  • One year of Health Information related experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Detail and quality oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and respond to changing priorities and role needs.
  • Able to organize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment.
