About the role
The Area Head of Finance works to meet business goals while partnering with area, sales and operations managers, project/service teams, Finance and Business Administration (FBA) colleagues, and auditors.
Responsibilities
- Acts as commercial partner to the Branch Managers and assumes responsibility for Area financial performance.
- Responsible for the Area’s financial performance including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Leads, manages, and oversees finance, accounting, and business administration activities for all SI RSS Businesses.
- Ensures compliance with external and internal accounting and reporting guidelines and operational Area performance (operational balance, slip, absorption, & utilization).
- Mentor/lead Commercial Project Managers and other team members as applicable, as well as participate in special projects related to either the local business or in support of field or home office initiatives.
- Analyze and report financial risks, opportunities, inconsistencies, and potential fraud indicators to Branch/Region Finance and Business Administration leadership.
- Maintain relationships with the largest and most critical customers, as appropriate, to support business continuity and customer satisfaction.
- Review and approve contracts, purchase orders, and change orders within delegated signature authority across relevant business activities.
- Support contract execution and review contract terms to provide financial guidance, improve Net Working Capital, and mitigate contractual risk.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6+ years of broad Accounting / Finance experience
- Demonstrated understanding of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls
- Demonstrated a history of taking on ever increasing levels of responsibility and being able to demonstrate ability to take initiative and act independently

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Experience in construction industry
- Knowledge of construction accounting with bond and lien law experience

$122,951 - $210,773
