Job Responsibilities
- Provide a consistent presence within the facilities they oversee and identify areas of improvement.
- Present solutions to the operational teams providing sustainable value for growth.
- Partner with Area General Manager to ensure ownership by all team members at each site.
- Lead the team of site based EHS&S professionals both directly and indirectly across the region.
- Aid in onboarding new EHS professionals and operational managers across the region, as needed.
- Oversee incident investigations, develop corrective plans, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
- Advise and assist local management in implementing, managing, and auditing within the framework of an innovative EHS Management Systems.
- Monitor region's EHS metrics and trends, compile reports, and share trends and corrective direction.
- Manage workers compensation, general liability, and automotive liability cases; coordinate with the insurance provider and legal counsel.
- Establish region and/or site priorities and resourcing strategies in conjunction with Regional EHSS Director.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Science or Engineering related fields or relevant experience.
- 5+ Years in EHS and/or Manufacturing with EHS responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate seamless integration across various functional departments.
- Expert knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 regulations.
- Strong project and process management skills, with experience managing major projects and/or change initiatives.
- Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to effectively navigate and research regulatory agency and industry related web content.
- Nationally recognized Safety and Health Certifications (ASP, CSP, CIH).
- Experience managing a team of direct and/or indirect reports.
Compensation
- Salary ranges from $100,000-$125,000.
