Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing and maintaining accounts in Delphi and CI
- Manages time working between outside calls, at the hotels, and the Northeast Sales Office.
- Experience with proactive initiatives comprising solicitations, cold calls, site visits, outside calls, appointments.
- Log all activities (including proactive initiatives and maintenance activities) in Delphi and CITY.
- Submit weekly activity report and weekly schedule every Friday afternoon
- Complete action plans for annual sales plan (generally due in September of each year)
- Visits the top accounts on a quarterly basis
- Ensures business booked is within hotel parameters
- Processes all business correspondence within acceptable time limits as outlined in company SOPs. Creates proposals, contracts and other related booking documentation as required.
- Effectively uses sales resources and administrative/support staff.
- Attend community activities (i.e. CVB, Chamber events) as needed.
- Attend regional/national tradeshows as needed
- Sales Manager needs to be proactive and aggressive and have a good understanding of feeder markets and competitor hotels.
- Cross sells to other hotels in the OP portfolio when appropriate
- Help organize sales blitzes or other special events.
