About the Role
This position is a key role within the organization, responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a specific area or department while also assuming line lead responsibilities. The individual will provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of employees, ensuring smooth operation of the area's functions and maintaining high productivity levels. The Area Coordinator collaborates with other departments, manages resources, and drives process improvements to achieve operational goals and deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities include materials receiving, storage, transfer, inventory accuracy, general housekeeping, and sanitation at one or more 10,000 square foot storage sites. The role works closely with the shift supervisor and systems specialist to identify and resolve problems regarding the timely movement of materials in storage and the fulfillment of customer orders.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials.
- Supply materials and products to production areas.
- Verify the accuracy of receipts, transfers, and stored materials.
- Certified to operate a REACH lift.
- Use Warehouse Management System to research and gather information.
- Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the assigned area, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Serve as the line lead, assist with supervising the flow of the work and process.
- Identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement; propose and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in department processes and troubleshoot problems and issues.
- Provide one-on-one or group hands-on training for new and returning associates on all functional aspects of the ticket processing job.
- Track inventory levels of products and order more supplies as needed.
- Process orders, verify prices and availability of products with vendors, and ship products to customers.
- Proficient in using computer applications and software relevant to the role.
- Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as required.
