On-siteOTHRFull-time

Dartcor Enterprises is hiring a full-time Traveling Chef to rotate across our Dartcor Hospitality Group portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to build broad, cross-concept culinary experiences while enjoying the stability of a single, full-time employer with benefits. You'll be a permanent member of the Dartcor culinary team, rotating between assigned properties rather than tied to one kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate between assigned Dartcor properties.
  • Learn and execute each property's menu, service style, and brand standards.
  • Partner with property-level kitchen teams, sous chefs, and management during each rotation.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, safety, and presentation across locations.
  • Provide coverage during staffing vacancies, high-volume periods, or special events.
  • Share cross-property insights, techniques, and best practices back to culinary leadership.
  • Lead the kitchen team in preparing and serving high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and creativity in every plate.
  • Develop seasonal menus based on fresh, local ingredients, and cater to client dietary preferences and restrictions.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety, quality standards, and operational excellence.
  • Manage inventory, track supplies, and place orders as necessary to maintain smooth operations.
  • Interact with guests, accommodating special requests and ensuring a superior dining experience.
  • Ensure all kitchen operations comply with safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in NYC or fine-dining restaurants, boutique hotels, or upscale catering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Minimum 5 years of catering experience.
  • Expertise in menu planning, cost control, and food production.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to train and guide kitchen staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
  • Comfortable adapting quickly to new kitchens, teams, and menus across rotating properties.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual a plus.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary of $75,000.
  • 401K and performance-based incentives.
  • Travel allowance.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and holiday pay.
  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and luxurious hospitality environment.
  • Work-life balance with weekday hours.
